Dais ANalytic is a leader in Nanotechnology Research and Development
Dais Analytic Corporation ("Dais") is a nanotechnology polymer materials company. We design and commercialize new materials that exceed the limits of conventional materials. We are one of the first few pure plays in nanotechnology with hard products and growing revenues in a number of exciting global industry sectors. Today polymer resin sales are a $100 billion market globally. It is estimated that by 2015, more than half of the materials designed for new products will use nanotechnology.
Discoveries in nanotechnology will lead to unprecedented understanding and control over the fundamental building blocks of all physical things. Nanotechnology is the science of the small, but it holds the promise of making extraordinary changes in virtually every facet of life. The possibilities are endless, enticing, and ready to be exploited: leaps in efficiency of energy consumption, highly specific drug delivery, and intelligent protective materials are only a few examples of what can be accomplished with nanotech polymer material science.

Our Novel, Nano-Structured Materials
From our work with polymer resins and materials, we have developed a proprietary nanotechnology family of polymers and processes. We can manufacture with known equipment and processes ion-containing polymers, or ionomers and polyelectrolytes. Dais has demonstrated success in the design and synthesis of a new class of simple and versatile ionomers that have a wide array of useful characteristics. These include excellent ion conduction, ion-exchange capability, moisture transfer, and anti-fouling properties. Our materials are derived from the sulfonation of styrene-containing block copolymers. The block copolymers phase-separate on a nanoscopic scale forming nano-domains that are interconnected, afford excellent ionic conductivity and water transport. Our polymers can be covalently crosslinked and compounded with a variety of other polymers and/or inorganic fillers, and thus represent the basis for a broad class of materials with unique properties and applications.
Dais has been issued six United States patents, and have additional United States patent applications pending, with respect to forms of nanotechnology polymer membranes, their creation and operation, and construction-related protection for use of these nanotechnology membranes in valued added products.
